You can do a lot with SnapShot Analytics straight out of the box. 

As soon as you log in, you'll have access to Pricing information from OTA Expert and Review information from TripAdvisor and HolidayCheck.

But you can do so much more with SnapShot Analytics than that. In just a few minutes, you can connect your dashboard to your preferred Benchmarking data source, Google Analytics, and Social Media accounts.

Just follow these steps:

5. Hotel Configuration - No of Rooms - VAT Percentage

6. Add User



1. Getting Started

Ready to get started? Just follow the steps below to navigate to your settings page, or watch the entire setup tutorial here.  



To start, click Activate on any of the cards on your Dashboard or click the three dots menu bar in the top-right corner and click Settings and then Hotel Interfaces.

These will take you to the screen pictured on the right where you can activate all your connections. 



Continue to step two below to get started with your Benchmarking connection.  



2. Benchmarking Connections

Benchmarking is an important tool in any modern Hotel Management strategy. Whether you use STR or Fairmas, you'll be able to pull all the necessary data you need right into SnapShot Analytics. 


In settings, click Competitor Benchmark, select STR, and enter your STR Census ID and save. 

(You also have the option of sending us your STR Census ID during your sign up process.)

Once you've submitted the ID number, STR will contact you to confirm the connection. Just confirm, and you're good to go! 


If you use Fairmas, please follow the steps below:


To activate Fairmas, click Competitor Benchmarking, select Fairmas, and copy your Fairmas Benchmarking Version Code displayed and paste it into Fairmas' 3rd party service page. Accept the Terms & Conditions and click save. 




3. Website Analytics

Many Hotel Marketers rely on Google Analytics to give them insight into their current and potential customers from around the globe. Link your Google Analytics account with SnapShot Analytics for exceptional insight into your web presence. 




Google Analytics

To connect Google Analytics, click Web Performance, click Get Access, log in to the Google account that manages your Analytics, click Accept, and select the appropriate Account, Page, and View within Google Analytics. 

Please note that you must be tracking your transactional revenues in your Google Analytics account and also have eCommerce tracking activated. If you need help setting this up in Google Analytics, please follow the links below:

4. Social Media Connections

One of the best ways to connect with your customers, develop your brand, and maintain customer loyalty, is through various social media channels (but you already knew that!). Get all your social media data all in one place by following the steps below, or watch the video here.



Click Social Media then click the Social Media Facebook tab.

Click Get Access, log in to the Facebook account that manages your page, and click Accept

Finally, select the Facebook page you want to connect under the Page drop-down menu. 





Same deal for Instagram!

Just click Get Access, log in to the appropriate Instagram account, click Accept

Finally, enter the hashtag that you want to track. No # symbol should be inserted. 






And same for Twitter!

Click Get Access, log in to the appropriate Twitter account and click Accept








5. Hotel Configuration

Have you configured your Property Details yet? Make sure you've entered your
room count and VAT percentage to ensure accurate stats on your dashboard.
Please check the following points under Property Details and correct them if needed

- Number of Rooms (in Basic Data section)
- VAT % (in Settings section) 


6.Add User

Don't forget to add your colleagues to SnapShot Analytics.
Follow the steps below to get them set up now!

User Name is your colleague´s
email address and the password has
to meet the following requirements:

• Password must contain 8 characters
• Password must contain 1 lowercase letter
• Password must contain 1 uppercase letter
• Password must contain 1 number
• Password must contain one special chracter



Under Adminsitration you first have to select the user role. Super User if you would like to give administrative rights to your colleague. Standard or View Only for users without configuration rights.

has to be assigned to activate a user.







You're all set! 

And with that, your Dashboard is now complete.
